  • Is cosmetic tattoo painful?

Although treatments are relatively painless, this may vary from person to person.  For your comfort, numbing gel is applied once the skin has been broken.

As lips are more sensitive, pre-numbing pads are applied prior to lip tattooing.

  • Is the tattoo permanent?

Technically, semi-permanent micro-pigmentation is considered permanent because the colour is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off.

However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, so it naturally fades over time.

  • How long does permanent makeup tattoo last?

To maintain your brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12 months, and for lips every 18 months.

This may vary from person to person depending upon your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and general health including medical conditions (if any).

Skincare routine will also affect the pigment: patients who tan, uses products with AHA or Glycolic Acid will fade faster as your skin will regenerate more readily.

Oily skin does not hold pigment as well as other skin types.  An additional session may be required to complete your tattoo.
